Join Taxiunionen

Membership in Taxiunionen is the first step and is separate from registration with Fair Taxi. Membership is handled in the association's member system — not in Fair's form.

Membership fees and the service fee for each membership level are stated in the member system. Check the current levels there.

Check that the operator is registered with Fair Taxi

You can only be approved as a driver if the operator you will drive for is already registered with Fair Taxi.

1. 1.Driving for someone else's company: ask the owner whether the operator has started or completed its Fair registration.
2. 2.Own the company yourself: complete the operator registration first.
3. 3.Find out the operator's name and the registration number of the car you will drive.

If the operator is not registered, your driver registration cannot be approved. Send the operator instructions to the owner.

Prepare your documents and details

The driver registration requires photos of your documents plus details about the operator and the car. Have everything ready before you start.

1. 1.Taxi driver licence: take a photo of the licence.
2. 2.Driving licence: photograph both the front and the back.
3. 3.A recent photo of yourself — a selfie with a neutral background, without sunglasses.
4. 4.The registration number of the car you will drive.
5. 5.The name of the operator you will drive for.

Register as a driver with Fair Taxi

Complete Fair Taxi's driver form and upload your documents. Here you also select the operator and the car you will drive — which is why the operator must be registered and the cars entered.

By applying you also accept Reko Rides AB's transport agreement. Read it before you submit.

Order the criminal record extract from the police

Order the extract “Arbete med barn i annan verksamhet än skola och barnomsorg” from the Swedish Police. It is delivered digitally to Kivra.

Taxi is a profession built on trust. The extract is part of Fair's safety work, alongside the taxi driver licence, driving licence, operator connection and vehicle checks.

Download the document from Kivra and email it to support@fairtaxi.se from the same email address you used when registering with Fair Taxi.

Send it from the same email address as in your Fair registration — otherwise Fair cannot match the extract to your registration. The extract is not uploaded in the form.

Fair Taxi reviews and connects you to the operator

Fair reviews your details and documents, checks identity and qualifications and contacts you if anything needs completing. Once approved you are connected to the operator and the car, and receive further start-up information by email.
